Set is a collection of well defined related objects denoted by A,B,C ,... We use a,b,c ,... to denote members or elements of a set. A set of all elements under consideration is called as Universal Set denoted as ' U ' A set 'A' is said to be a subset of set 'B' if all elements of set A are also elements of set 'B'. If 'A' is subset of 'B' and A is not equal to be then 'A' is called proper subset of 'B'. We use A c to denote compliment of a set A which consists of all elements from the universal set which are not elements of set A .
